FOUR KINDS

Who BrainStormers partners with

Four kinds of partner, each with a different reason to bring us in.

  • Accelerators and incubators

Accelerator partners can send founders to us for an honest technical or product review, a validation plan or help scoping a first build.

  • Investors and VC platform teams

Before or after an investment, we can review a codebase, an architecture or a product plan, and help a portfolio company fill a senior gap for a period.

  • Design and marketing agencies

When a client needs product strategy or engineering you do not offer, we can take that part of the work, with the split agreed before it starts.

  • Development shops

When a project needs more senior hands than you have, agency overflow engineering lets a BrainStormers engineer join your delivery team for a defined stretch.

FORMATS

Ways to work together

  • Refer a founder

Introduce us by email. We speak to the founder directly, and we share updates with you only if the founder agrees. Founders who want to know us first can start at About BrainStormers.

  • Bring us in for a rescue

When a build is failing or production is down, software project rescue and crisis response starts by stabilizing the system, then gives you a written account of what went wrong.

  • Add senior capacity

For longer projects, software team augmentation adds a senior engineer to your team, working in your tools and your process.

  • Cover product or engineering

Some client projects need product and engineering at once. We can take one side or both, from the full range of engineering and product services for startups.

How to start working together

  1. 01

    Send a short note

Tell us who you are, who you work with and the kind of founder or project you have in mind.

  2. 02

    Have a 20-minute call

We talk through how referrals, rescues or extra capacity would work between us, and what each side expects.

  3. 03

    Agree it in writing

Commercial terms, confidentiality and who does what are written down before the first piece of work starts. Founder details stay private unless the founder agrees to share them.
